In addition to our extensive product ranges across all of our brands, The Tool Connection continues to work closely with leading UK vehicle manufacturers and importers, developing specialist products and solutions.

We have two arms to our OEM business. The first is based around our expanded manufacturing and R & D facility at Eldon Tools and Engineering Limited in Sheffield, UK. Eldon has been part of The Tool Connection group since 2008 and specialise in the design and manufacture of tools for the automotive industry, most notably automotive timing tools. Thanks to the continued support and investment by The Tool Connection with Eldon’s portfolio, the remit has continued to expand, enabling it to offer tailor-made services to a wide variety of OEMs.

Eldon’s range of services and capabilities encompasses CAD/CAM 3D design to rapid prototyping, 3D printing, branding and packaging - all in addition to the latest machining technology.

Eldon uses a variety of modern CNC lathes and machining centres, which are capable of running autonomously 24 hours a day. When manufacturing and assembly are complete, the company has the ability to pack and brand as required using our new routed foam cutting operation, and laser etch branding facility.

The Tool Connection also supports OEM through the development of unique, tailored solutions for the challenges presented to workshops and technicians by today’s modern electric and hybrid high voltage vehicles, which in many cases are bespoke to the vehicle in question. Our development engineers have worked hand-in-hand with the OE vehicle manufacturers, building strong relationships to produce innovative tools for the modern day vehicle.
